"Sugarcoated packages" Card

I am so proud of myself for sticking with my goal to blog every day this week.  I can't believe it myself.

Well, I have another Easter card for you today.  Actually this could be used for a child's Birthday card as well.

My sister, Shannon, designed this card.  I just recreated it and used it for last month's Card Club.

I used the Easter Wishes stamp set (B1422).

I also used our Alcohol markers. They really make coloring so easy.

HAPPY EASTER!!!!

Easter Basket Card

I want to share with you a card that I made for my monthly Card Club that took place last week.

I got the idea for this from a card that I saw in Paper Crafts Magazine.

It was actually pretty easy to make.  Simply start with a standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 white card base.  Then cut 6 - 1/2" x 4 1/4" strips and 6 - 1/4" x 3" strips.

Then put 3-D Foam Tape along the left, bottom, and right sides of the card.  Do not go more than 3" up from the bottom of the card.  Only remove the adhesive backing from the left side.

Adhere all of the 1/2" strips to the foam tape on the left side.  Then simply weave the 1/4" strips through the 1/2" strips and adhere to the top strip.  Repeat until your basket is finish.  Remove the remaining adhesive backing and adhere your basket to the foam tape.

All of the eggs were stamped using the Easter Wishes Stamp Set (B1422).  The eggs can be cut from the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge and then stamped. I used the following ink colors: Buttercup, Lagoon, Cotton Candy, and Gypsy.

Hoppy Easter!!

Bunny Card cut from Art Philosophy

Today I have a super cute card featuring the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  I got the idea for this card from Christine Adams (www.creatingwithchristine.com) and she got the idea from a friend of hers.

All paper pieces were cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge.  I used a 5x7 card as the base with an old paper packet called Splendor, a flower, a button, and some of our Opaque Mocha Adhesive Gems for the eyes.

Here are the cutting directions:

All pieces cut from the ArtPhilosophy Cartridge:

Shape6 (ornament) A7  - 3 1/2" (Head) (White Daisy)

Oval2 B2 - 1 3/4" (Outer Ears) - 2 (White Daisy)

Oval2 B2 - 1 1/4" (Inner Ears) - 2 (Cotton Candy)

Oval2 B2 - 1 1/2" (Feet) - 2 (White Daisy)

Oval2 B2 - 3/4" (Inner foot pad) - 2 (Cotton Candy)

Circle1 A1 - 1/2" (Inner foot dots) - 6 (Cotton Candy)

Circle1 A1 - 1 1/2" (Cheeks) - 2 (White Daisy)

Heart1 Shift A6  - 1" (Nose) (Cotton Candy)

Circle1 A1 - 1" (Mouth) (Cotton Candy)

1/4" x 1/2" Buck Teeth - 2 (White Daisy)

Happy hopping!

Chantilly Textiles

YES!!  I'm still on a roll. Someone sent me a long poem the other day about "not breaking the chain."  So here we go - the chain has been started so "Jaime, don't break it."

Here is another page using the Chantilly paper packet and the Chantilly textiles.

As you can see in the watermark of the photo I did not design this all by myself.  Tammy Bristow (a fellow Consultant) created this page for a class at a Team event that I attended in January.  Shannon and I wanted to expand on the textiles a bit more than what Tammy did.

So Shannon added the hand-sewn "flowers" in the bottom left corner.  It's really simple.  Take about a 2"x10" piece of fabric, fold it in half length wise.  Then use a needle and thread to sew along the rough long edge of the flower.  Simply pull the thread and "scrunch the fabric" then sew the ends together to create a circle.  Finish it off with something in the center of the "flower" and VOILA!!!

April Scrapbooking Club - Chantilly - 2nd layout

So far so good - 2 days in a row.  Phew!!!

Here is the 2nd layout that we will create in April at my monthly Scrapbooking Club.

This is the additional layout suggested by CTMH using the Chantilly Workshop on the Go kit.  I didn't add any extra embellishments - I thought there was enough going on and my photos still stood out as the stars of the pages.

Remember there are 2 ways that you can also make these pages.
1-Simply purchase the Chantilly Workshop On The Go kit and the Chantilly textiles. The kit come with detailed instructions on how to put these 2 pages together. (You will need inks and blocks for stamping.)

2-If you live near Amelia, VA (15 minutes from the Woodlake area in Midlothian) you can join us for my Monthly Scrapbooking Club where we will create 4 12x12 pages including the 2 seen above at either of the following dates:

Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 6:30-9:30pm
Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 2-5pm

Cost starts at just $16 and includes a full Level 2 paper packet. You can also purchase all of the embellishments and tools used or you can borrow mine, the choice is up to you.

Email me (or leave a comment) if you want to attend.

Let's see if my "roll continues - check back tomorrow to find out.  Better yet leave me a comment to hold be accountable.

April Scrapbooking Club - Chantilly

I finally have some time to get on track and ahead of the game with a regular schedule.  One of my biggest goals is to post to my blog much more frequently and hopefully it will become routine.  So here it goes.....

We are on to our 2nd collection from the new Spring/Summer Idea Book.  I just love the colors in the Chantilly collection

Sorry I didn't take any close up photos of the embellishments on these pages.  In addition to the embellishments that come in the Chantilly Workshop on the Go kit, I added the Chantilly textiles.  That's right - scrapbooking now has fabric.  I really like adding dimension and texture to my pages and the Chantilly fabric is the perfect way.
