Come Scrap Away

I just spent the weekend at the Hilton near the Richmond Airport for the Come Scrap Away Retreat.  I had such a great time.  I got a little bit of scrappin' done, but more importantly I met some really great women.

I was given the opportunity to share Close To My Heart with the ladies at the retreat and offered them a small Make-N-Take Card.  (I'll have to post a picture later because of course the camera is in the house and I'm in my studio.)

If you weren't there you should definitely check out the Come Scrap Away website and be there next time.  It's an amazing deal for a retreat.  Plenty of food and the rooms are great because they have their own mini kitchen and living space in addition to the bedroom.  I can't wait for the next one (to be scheduled sometime in early 2013).

Thank you so much to everyone, but especially to Susan for giving me the chance to share CTMH with everyone.

Scrapbooking Yard Sale

If you are a paper crafter and have been in the craft for a few years then you probably have some items that you have never used.  Not because they aren't great, but because your tastes have changed, or you bought another tool that does the same thing, or because you loved the paper in the store, but can't seem to use it on a page.  Well here is your chance to make a little money off of those items and sell them to someone that would love to have them.

On Saturday, June 2 from 9-11am I am hosting a Scrapbooking Yard Sale in my studio at my home.  This event is completely free.  I'll even supply the tables for you to sell your things on.  All you have to do is bring your items to sell.

We also need people to tell their friends.  So pass the word along and join us on Saturday, June 2 from 9-11am.

One woman's junk is another woman's treasure.

I am just crazy for Dotty!

If you haven't ordered your Dotty For You paper pack yet, you should do it today.  I just love these papers.  I created this Wall Hanging for my crop last Saturday in Honor of National Scrapbook Day.

And I created this for my June Cricut Art Philosophy class.  This page was designed by Joanne, another Close To My Heart consultant, I just changed some of the papers.

Did I mention that I just love these papers?  The patterns are so much fun and the dots coordinate with everything.

So be sure to join me in creating the "tree" page and card on:
Saturday, June 16 at 10am
Saturday, June 30 at 9am

Here are 2 ways you can take the class and what it costs:
  • $10 if you own a Cricut and the Art Philosophy Cartridge bundle - Bring your Cricut and your Art Philosophy cartridge and we'll cut everything together
  • $20 if you don't own a Cricut or the Art Philosophy Cartridge bundle - I will cut all of your paper ahead of time and you can show up 30 minutes late.

Let's go Cruisin' in June

It's that time of the month again....no not that one.  It's time to place your orders for next month's Scrapbooking Clubs.  In June we are using the Cruisin' paper packet.  Here are the first 2 pages.

These papers are perfect for scrappin' your latest road trip, heritage photos, 50's or 60's memories, or if you happen to have pictures of antique cars or fire engines.

All workshops are held in my studio in Amelia, VA and we'll be making these pages on the following dates:
Sunday, June 10 from 2-5pm
Thursday, June 14 from 6:30pm-9:30pm
Saturday, June 16 from 2-5pm

Cost varies, but begins at just $16, this includes a full level 2 paper packet with 12 sheets of paper.  You can check out the Workshop On The Go kit here and see a picture of the exclusive stamp set.  Also, you don't want to miss out on the bottle caps created exclusively for these papers.  They are super neat!

So be sure to register today to preserve your memories tomorrow!
