Show Your Patriotism - Stamper's With An Attitude Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop!  We are excited to show you some Patriotic Art with an Attitude. If you came here from Becky McClain's blog then you are on the right track.

First, I have to say that I am so EXCITED because this is my very first blog hop.  For the theme of "Show your Patriotism" I wanted to use our limited time only "Let's Get Patriotic" stamp sets.   I used the stamp set Courage (available only until the end of this month).
I created a very simple card because I wanted the stamped images to be the focal point. So I kept the embellishments and paper to a minimum.

The card is 4x4 with a White Base. I stamped the soldier in Cashmere Ink and the sentiment in Outdoor Denim Ink.  The paper is from the Tommy Paper Packet and I added just 2 of the Artisan Durable Studs.

Now hop on over to Melinda Everitt's blog as she shows you her patriotism.

Thanks for stopping by.  (Please leave a comment and let me know how I did on my first blog hop.)

Scrapbook Club - Tommy 2nd Layout

So yesterday I shared the first of 2 layouts that I completed with the Tommy collection

This 2nd layout that we will be creating at July's Scrapbooking Club was designed by my sister, Shannon, although I did rotate my pages and adhere some different embellishments.

This layout is a pattern from our How-To-Book, Magic (sorry it's currently unavailable).

This sail boat and water scene was stamped with the stamp set that comes in the Tommy Workshop On The Go Kit.  It features masking, one of my favorite stamping techniques.  You actually stamp the sail boat first on your project then stamp it on a sticky note.  Simply trim the image out of the sticky note and place it on your project directly over the other stamped image.  Now you are ready to stamp your "waves".  This way you don't get any ink from the waves on your sail boat and when you remove the sticky note from your sail boat the waves appear to be "behind" the stamped sail boat.

The above photo is a really good view of the Tommy Assortment.  It includes 7 pieces: 4 printed canvas flags, 2"; 3 adhesive-backed cork labels, 1½".

The Dimensional Elements Stars are so easy to use as well.  You can stamp on them, ink them, cover them with paper.  For this layout I adhered some of the Tommy Complements Canvas Shapes to them and wrapped some Baker's Twine around them.

Last, I finished things off with the Outdoor Denim Chevron Ribbon and tied a piece of Baker's Twine around the bottom of it (this was all Shannon's idea).

There are 2 ways that you can also make these pages.

1-Simply purchase the Tommy Workshop On The Go kit and the Tommy Complements Canvas Shapes.  Simply follow the instructions in the Workshop On The Go guide.  (You will need inks and blocks for stamping.)

Scrapbook Club - Tommy

Almost 2 years ago we took a short sunset sailing trip while visiting my mom in FL.  I have been patiently waiting for a collection from Close To My Heart to scrap these photos and here it is, Tommy.  I was so excited when I saw this collection in the Idea Book.

Here is the first layout created by CTMH for the Tommy Workshop On The Go kit that we will be creating at July's Scrapbooking Club.

The instructions in the Workshop On The Go Kit are so easy to follow.  They show you exactly what dimensions to cut your paper, how to stamp the images, and the placement of all elements on the layout.  The Workshop On The Go Kit comes with comes with a full Level 2 Paper Pack, an exclusive stamp set, the Dimensional Elements Stars and the Tommy Assortment.

The Tommy Assortment is really cool.  It includes 7 pieces: 4 printed canvas flags, 2"; 3 adhesive-backed cork labels, 1½".  The "Lifesaver" cork piece below is one of them.

The Dimensional Elements Stars are so easy to use as well.  You can stamp on them, ink them, cover them with paper.  For this layout I simply sponged the edges. I finished off some of the stars with the Outdoor Denim Chevron Ribbon.  Simply tie a small piece of ribbon in a knot and adhere it to the center of the larger stars.

I also added the Tommy Complements Canvas Shapes to my pages.  If you have anything nautical to scrap you need these.  There are so many canvas stickers on just these 2 sheets that I STILL have a ton of leftovers.
