Idea Book Celebration Recap

THANK YOU so much to everyone that came out to my Idea Book Celebration on Sunday!  It was so great to see you all and catch up with some of you that I haven’t seen in a long time.

I had yummy refreshments out for everyone.  (Of course the drinks were in the fridge, and I forgot to tell everyone that’s where they were. So I still have lots of lemonade, good thing it’s my favorite. And the veggies were still in the fridge for this picture.)

I had tons of product laid out for everyone to see.  And of course, everyone who came got their own Idea Book to take home with them.

I offered a few specials on my inventory (surprisingly no one took me up on it).  And a cute card with the August Stamp of the Month to make and take home.

Scrapbook Club–Skylark

I am so excited about the new Idea Book, but we’ve still got 1 more kit from the current book that we haven’t created yet – Skylark.  I just love the colors of this kit.  You know it’s a proven fact that blues and greens are calming and soothing colors.  Maybe that’s what makes it so appealing.

Skylark Pgs 1&2 - Smaller

I don’t have pictures of my pages because I am trying to gather photos of my students from Fuquay-Varina High School when I was the Choral Director there.  I can’t believe that I don’t have any (or at least that I can find).  Thank goodness for Facebook because I’m able to reconnect with some of my students and they are sending me pics.

Skylark Pgs 3&4 - Smaller

As always, you can choose to buy the Workshop on the Go Kit which includes the stamp set and embellishments or just get the paper and choose what embellishments you want to purchase.  The choice is up to you.

I used the embellishments that came in the Workshop on the Go Kit and added the Skylark Complements (Dimensional Elements) for more easy titles and journaling.

Remember that all of this product being used is retiring at the end of July so be sure to get yours today.

So who wants to join in the fun?

Thursday, August 7 at 6:30pm

Sunday, August 10 at 2pm

Cost starts at just $25 and includes a full paper packet (you'll have leftovers) and 2 of the embellishments needed to complete the pages.
But, remember you choose how much you want to spend and purchase only the embellishments and tools that you want.

Register by Thursday, July 24

If you can't make it to the workshop, simply purchase the Skylark Workshop On The Go Kit and I'll include my instructions for both layouts for free.

Mark you Calendar for upcoming Scrapbook Club Dates:

September 11 & 14

October 9 & 12

November 6 & 9

December 11 & 14

Thanks for stopping by.

Great American Scrapbook Convention in Chantilly, VA

I attended the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Chantilly, VA this past weekend, June 24 & 25, 2010. I was able to attend as a customer on Friday and a vendor on Saturday. This was my first time attending and I was quite impressed. There were vendors from all over with tons of scrapbooking products, ideas, make & takes, and great samples on display. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos to share with you right now. I had to go out of town suddenly due to a death in the family and I left the camera at home.
The one thing I was on the hunt for was a t-shirt and I found 2. One says "friends don't let friends crop alone" (purchased from Scrap Happy - www.scraphappyohio.com) and the other "Scrapbook Girl" (purchased from www.ticklemepinkdesigns.com). I purchased 2 of each of them for myself and my sister. She and I try to get together once a month for a scrapbook weekend. Since she lives in NC and I live in VA we alternate houses. We spend most of the weekend in our pj's, take very few showers, and watch "chick-flicks" while we scrap all weekend long. It's great! We know we won't be able to do this forever, so we are making it a priority now.
The 2nd day I was there I was helping my upline, Kathy Aardema-Zunk, at her Close To My Heart booth. She has been a vendor at this show for (I believe) 7 or 8 years now. We had a great time and I really enjoyed sharing CTMH and demo-ing some of our best products. I also learned alot by watching her interact with others (she has been a consultant for 14 years now). I also got to see some of my current customers and workshop attendees. I even made some new friends and can't wait to see them at a workshop of mine soon.
That's just another reason I love being a consultant. You get to meet great people and make lasting friendships too. You should join my team - I only wish I had joined CTMH sooner.
